Welcome to Our Office
We ask that you please allow approximately one hour for your initial visit. Your second visit will take about 45 minutes for treatment and the Report of Findings (see below). All follow-up appointments are normally 30-40 minutes depending on the type of treatment you will be receiving.
Upon entering our office, you will be greeted by our Chiropractic Assistant. After signing in, you will be provided with New Patient forms to complete. These forms will ask you a number of questions about your health history, your current health status and the reason for your visit. If you prefer, we would be happy to email or fax to you the necessary forms to get established with our office. We ask that you arrive approximately 20 minutes prior to your appointment if you plan on filling out the forms in the office.
History and Examination
After you have completed all the necessary paperwork, you will be taken to a private treatment room to meet with Dr. McBee. Here, you will have the opportunity to discuss in detail the reason for your visit. Dr. McBee will complete a thorough health history with you by asking you a number of detailed questions about your past and present health condition. You will have the chance to discuss your symptoms, the length of time you have had them and how they started.
After completing your health history, Dr. McBee will perform a thorough chiropractic examination. The chiropractic examination will include orthopedic, neurological and postural tests. Your height, weight and blood pressure will also be taken.
If your examination findings warrant further diagnostic studies, Dr. McBee will perform X-rays. X-rays may be required to help identify your specific diagnosis, and are a valuable resource to determine the condition of your spinal structure and joints. Combined with your health history and examination findings, the results of your X-rays will allow Dr. McBee to develop the most effective treatment plan for your condition. In addition, X-rays allow Dr. McBee to rule out more serious conditions that may require a referral for further imaging or to a medical specialist.
After reviewing your medical history, examination results and X-rays, patients are generally provided their first treatment by Dr. McBee. Treatment may include spinal or joint manipulation, physiotherapy, and soft tissue work.
Dr. McBee is experienced in a variety of adjusting techniques. These techniques give Dr. McBee the flexibility to provide you with the most appropriate and effective type of adjustment for your specific needs.
Report of Findings (Second Visit)
Due to the time allowed for the history, examination, X-rays and treatment during the first visit, the Report of Findings is discussed with you on your second visit to our office.
The Report of Findings is where Dr. McBee will discuss with you what he found during your examination and from reviewing your X-rays. You will have the opportunity to personally see and discuss your X-rays with Dr. McBee. Most patients are very interested in viewing their own X-rays, because it gives them a better understanding of their spinal or joint condition, and the reason for their pain.
During the Report of Findings, Dr. McBee will outline his treatment recommendations for you. Dr. McBee will be glad to answer any questions you may have about your diagnosis and treatment plan during this time.
We accept Visa and MasterCard, debit cards, checks and cash. Payment is due and payable at the time of service.
